Garden Gate, Bromley

The pub was situated in Downham at the junction of Bromley Road, Old Bromley Road and Ashgrove Road. It was built in 1953. A lovely community pub with a beautiful garden. It closed in 2006 and has been operating as yet another McDonald's outlet.

In 1985, when licencing laws about opening times were strict, this pub was under different restrictions than Bromley, so instead of closing at 2.30 pm, could have an extra 30 minutes and close at 3 pm, adding to it's popularity.
