Beckenham Cottage Hospital and its people -1871 to 1947

Before 1947 all hospitals were privately funded, sometimes by major bequests, more often by local communities and particularly their better off inhabitants. Beckenham Cottage hospital was one of these and in this study the stories of the benefactors and doctors - sometimes the same people - are revealed.
Linda has a particular interest in this hospital as it was where her parents worked and first met.
