Other Events for Members and Friends

Apart from our monthly and special meetings, below are some other events for BBLHS members and friends during the year.

Make a note in your diary now, and check back regularly for any updates and more details.

For Members' only events, unless otherwise stated, you need to advise Mike Marriott you wish to join in. This helps make sure we don't exceed maximum numbers and we don't leave anyone behind! To ensure a punctual start, please aim to arrive 10-15 minutes before the published start time.

Other events which could be of interest to Members are also listed underneath the Society events.

Important Note

All walks, visits or other activities are at the participants own risk and the Society cannot be responsible for any loss, damage or injury.

This will include access to the island, the brick foundations of the Tudor kitchens and great hall, the story of the manor from the 13th to 20th century and the World War II defences. On display will be finds from the excavations including medieval floor tile, pottery, clay pipe and roof tile.

Directions to a private car park and public transport will be given on booking. Toilets are also available at the site and dogs on leads can be accommodated. There is no charge but donations towards ODAS’ work will be welcome.
